The Del-Mar-Va Council was established in 1917 and serves over 12,500 families throughout the peninsula. We are powered by more than 3,300 registered volunteers and 35 staff members, and work with youth to teach them new skills, build their self-esteem and reinforce the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The Del-Mar-Va Council proudly embraces the STEM Scouts Pilot Program, and is actively recruiting partner organizations to bring this program to the youth of our Council.

What is STEM Scouts?

STEM Scouts is a national pilot program from the Boy Scouts of America, focused on fun ways for girls and boys, grades 3 - 12, to learn more about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Using hands-on activities, STEM Scouts also encourages young minds’ natural curiosity and helps build interest in the STEM-related careers that are so crucial to our future economy.
